Hon. Shri. Annasaheb S. Jolle

Ex. M.P. (Lok Sabha) Chikodi Founder Jolle Group

The cooperative sector is the lifeline and a true friend of the rural population. It offers immense opportunities to achieve aspirations and reach great heights. The cooperative movement has a wide presence across our country, and by establishing cooperative societies, it is possible to create employment opportunities for rural people and reduce unemployment. Furthermore, the growth of the cooperative sector enables ordinary citizens to lead a better quality of life.

With this vision, Jolle Group, through its various affiliated institutions, has achieved remarkable success in the fields of cooperation, social service, agriculture, education, healthcare, and several other sectors, earning recognition throughout the country.

Several organizations under the Jolle Group are functioning successfully. The group has always been committed to social welfare activities. It has extended support to all those seeking assistance and has stood by people during times of natural disasters.

Journey Towards Modernization

Shri Jyoti Multipurpose Souharda Cooperative, established in 1994, was registered under the Souharda Act in 2003. It entered the retail market by establishing Jyoti Bazaar. Despite being located in the small village of Examba, the organization has a modern headquarters equipped with a spacious auditorium, elevator, and well-furnished facilities.

In today's highly competitive world, people's needs are increasing day by day, and organized retail markets have become essential. While large supermarkets have emerged in urban areas, Jyoti Bazaar had already introduced this concept more than two decades ago in the small village of Examba in Chikkodi Taluk, thereby providing a modern retail system to rural consumers.

Jyoti Bazaar

Apart from providing financial assistance through the cooperative sector, Shri Jyoti Multipurpose Souharda Sahakari Sangh Nyt., Examba, has been offering daily household essentials under one roof through Jyoti Bazaar for the past two decades while maintaining high standards of quality.

One of the affiliated organizations of the Jolle Group, Shri Jyoti Multipurpose Souharda Cooperative, markets a wide range of products under the "Jyoti" brand. These products are procured directly from manufacturers and supplied to customers at reasonable prices without excessive profit motives. The society provides pure and high-quality household products at prices lower than the prevailing market rates.

It also provides marketing opportunities for products manufactured by Self-Help Groups (SHGs), such as:

  • Sajji Roti (Pearl Millet Flatbread)
  • Various types of chutneys
  • Sandige
  • Papads
  • Other homemade food products

The organization is not limited to the retail business alone. With the objective of providing financial services to the public, it started its Credit Division seven years ago. At present, it operates 64 Credit Division branches across five districts and aims to expand these branches throughout the state of Karnataka.

Achievements

Since its registration in 1994, the cooperative has grown to include:

  • Jyoti Bazaar Division
  • Medical Division
  • Printing Press Division

The remarkable growth of the cooperative has been possible because of the trust and confidence reposed by its members, the relentless efforts of its Board of Directors, the inspirational support of its well-wishers, and the honest, selfless, and dedicated service of its staff.
